The ex lawyer and father of six children who credits losing 40kgs and changing his overall health for the better by ‘kicking’ the sugar habit, wants to share his knowledge about the subject with as many people as possible.

The first Healthy Living Seminar for Vitalelife is an opportunity for people interested in health to hear speakers on current practices and attitudes toward achieving better health ‘naturally’ and according to David Gillespie there is a ‘lot of interest’ in the subject of sugar and how it makes us fat.

“ I struggled with obesity for years and tried many diets. I started looking into the research done on the effect of sugar intake and when I cut it out, and specifically fructose, the weight began dropping off,” Mr. Gillespie said.

Vitalelife co owner and Business Director, Roechelle Williams recently became a convert to the Sweet Poison health plan and says she is feeling the benefits.

“I didn’t realize the harm my glass of freshly juiced oranges was actually doing me,” Ms Williams said.

The seminar will also include a talk from Vitalelife’s co owner and Exercise Physiologist, Karen Anderson on the positive effect of exercise on Diabetes Type II.

‘Sugar is addictive and getting off it is a great step forward for a healthy mind and body and can help reduce your risk to Diabetes Type II,’ Ms Anderson said.

In addition, Dr Sarah Lantz, University of Queensland researcher and bestselling author of Chemical Free Kids: Raising Healthy Children in a Toxic World explores the hazardous chemical compounds found in the human body; how they get in their; what makes a chemical toxic; the health and behavioral impacts we are witnessing; and some practical strategies for living healthier in a toxic world.

Personal trainer in body and mind awareness, Joshua Geyl will offer an interactive workshop at the seminar developing strength through relaxation called The Art of Movement.
