Pippa Crawley – Psychology

About Pippa

In 1996 Pippa was awarded degrees in psychology from the University of Queensland.  The following year she worked as an Officer for Queensland Corrective Services.  Pippa then started a private practise in psychotherapy in the Kenmore area.  For 13 years she met with clients requiring professional assistance with their personal development, their relationships and with parenting concerns.  After two years away on the Sunshine Coast, Pippa visits Brisbane to see clients at Vitalelife.  Go to www.PCrawley.com.au for more information.

What can Pippa offer you?

Pippa can provide highly qualified analysis and psychological advice for clients with concerns about their personal history and it’s effect on current relationships.  She has 13 years experience with matters like marriage/relationship dissatisfaction, separation and divorce, parenting problems, anxiety and depression, dating coaching, personality types, and personal development.  Pippa places a high priority on private and discrete service, and on providing advice, which is theoretically sound but practically provides results and relief.

Booking and Attending a Psychotherapy Session

In order to provide the most private service possible, potential clients can contact Pippa directly to make an appointment.  Upon arriving at Vitalelife, clients are met by Pippa personally and an initial consultation may be 2 hours in order to gather history and information about the problem presented.  Call 0424 99  6364 to make an appointment.

Psychotherapy is a conversational therapy which takes into account personal history, current events, various theoretical perspectives in psychology, personal goals, and cognitive-behavioural measures of change and satisfaction.  You will be asked to support your own development with commitment and courage and to reflect on ideas outside of the therapy hour in order to hasten insight and change.

Ongoing appointments are for 1 hour weekly, in the traditional way, until clients can attend on a less frequent basis.

How much does it cost?

The cost is $85 per hour.  This fee has been set to facilitate the frequency of attendance expected of clients who are committed to their personal development; the Australian Psychological Society recommends charging $150/hr for a standard consultation, however, Pippa believes that this cost is oppressive for most clients and compromises the clients ability to attend frequently and for long enough duration to properly change old problems into new and healthy experiences of life.

Clients pay the consultant directly and thus, do not need to attend reception for payment; you have a more private experience whilst visiting Vitalelife to see Pippa.
