About Hypnotherapy
How does hypnosis and hypnotherapy work?
Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. It does involve the induction of a trance-like condition, but when in it, you actually are in an enhanced state of awareness.
The very relaxing state of hypnosis is available to all of us. It’s a bit like day dreaming and can occur naturally when a person has become totally absorbed in what they are doing. Thus hypnotic like states may occur in people regularly. Your subconscious mind is the ‘older’, more instinctive part of your mind, where old behaviors are stored. Including those which served you well at a certain time in your life but may prove to be a little out of date now.
For example: certain behaviors, fears, feelings maybe very beneficial for a child, however may prove to be quite the opposite for the same person as a grown up.
In hypnosis you can safely and easily evaluate and change behaviors, habits and other subconscious patterns so you can enjoy your lasting and measurable changes.
In short hypnotherapy works by aligning the subconscious and the conscious mind so you can get more of what you want.
