More Information about this event:
After the amazing popularity of the first Healthy Living Seminar, we have decided to repeat “Why Sugar Makes You Fat” at our Sowelu Centre in Paddington.
David Gillespie, author of Sweet Poison and The Sweet Poison Quit Plan will talk about the best selling publications at Sowelu, on October 16, 2010 at 11 am. Book online to reserve your seat
The ex lawyer and father of six children who credits losing 40kgs and changing his overall health for the better by ‘kicking’ the sugar habit, wants to share his knowledge about the subject with as many people as possible.
This Healthy Living Seminar is an opportunity for people interested in health to hear speakers on current practices and attitudes toward achieving better health ‘naturally’ and according to David Gillespie there is a ‘lot of interest’ in the subject of sugar and how it makes us fat.
“I struggled with obesity for years and tried many diets. I started looking into the research done on the effect of sugar intake and when I cut it out, and specifically fructose, the weight began dropping off,” Mr. Gillespie said.
Sowelu/Vitalelife co owner and Business Director, Roechelle Williams recently became a convert to the Sweet Poison health plan and says she is feeling the benefits.
“I didn’t realize the harm my glass of freshly juiced oranges was actually doing me,” Ms Williams said.
Also speaking is Kristine Matheson is a successful Gold Coast business woman and a cancer survivor who embarked on a holistic journey to better health that lead to completely curing her of cancer. The author of ‘Cancer to Wellness The Forgotten Secret’ defied her Stage four Melanoma cancer diagnosis in 2005 by stocking her ‘cupboard full of raw fruits, vegetable and nuts, then rid her mind of negative thought and fear. After a year she was declared cancer-free to the surprise of her specialist.’ (Sunshine Coast Daily). Read more about Kristine’s story at www.cancertowellness.com
Kristine will share some of her story at the Healthy Living Seminar on Oct 16 at Sowelu with David Gillespie. The seminar will also include a talk from Vitalelife’s co owner and Exercise Physiologist, Karen Anderson on the positive effect of exercise on Diabetes Type II.
‘Sugar is addictive and getting off it is a great step forward for a healthy mind and body and can help reduce your risk to Diabetes Type II,’ Ms Anderson said.
A recent comment from Paige strikes home: Just wanted to let you know I got my hands on a Sweet poison – Quit Plan and have also given it up! yayayayay! its been about a week now and I have already lost 2ish kg! its amazing and not feeling any withdrawal or cravings or anything – so bizarre! he gives some recipes in ths book so going to give some of them a go and see how they fly!
