CPD is proud to release the first of a series of Saturday afternoon workshops.

This workshop is a Yoga, Laughing and Drumming experience!

  • No previous experience is necessary.
  • All you need is a willingness to participate, have fun and step outside your comfort zone.
  • Tone the body, calm the mind, and understand yoga basics.
  • Laugh your head off, laugh your guts out and lose it!
  • Laughter really is good for you, come and find out all about laughter groups for yourself!
  • Learn drumming basics that will allow you play a rhythm with others in a drum circle anywhere, opening up your musical creativity without technical musical theory.
  • Besides all of those benefits, it is a chance to meet new like minded people.
  • Numbers are limited so please book early. Bring 4 people pay $0.
  • $48 prepaid EFT or $50 cash on day.

About Sophia

Sophia is not your typical nutritionist. Sophia’s philosophy revolves around treating people as individuals rather than labelling them by their disease or condition; this drives Sophia to find the root cause of her client’s health problems rather than treating with a mere ‘band-aid’ approach.

Sophia’s passion is use her skills & knowledge to help people improve their health physically, mentally & emotionally and to teach her clients how to keep their health in balance.  Sophia has studied evidence-based Naturopathic medicine along with Nutritional & Herbal Medicine. Sophia is also a qualified Pilates instructor & Yoga practitioner who enjoys teaching & sharing her skills in both a class & individual setting.

Consultations with Sophia are tailored to individual needs however various diagnostic tools may be used to conduct a comprehensive health analysis. These include:

  • acid alkaline testing (pH levels)
  • digestive function testing – assessing levels of dysbiosis in the bowel
  • Zinc testing
  • blood pressure & blood sugar monitoring
  • body composition analysis
  • cellular health analysis
  • iridology
  • tongue & pulse diagnosis
  • postural assessment – particularly important for those with muscular/ structural imbalances or those requiring a take-home programme.
  • Relevant referrals for pathology testing (such as liver detoxification profiles, testing for hormonal imbalances, parasitology)
  • Food intolerance testing – available onsite or with referral

Drawing on her experience from her clinical practice both overseas & in Australia, Sophia works with her clients to create tailored treatment plans which are personally structured with a strong focus on educating clients on how to maintain wellness with diet & lifestyle. Sophia uses a combination of nutritional medicines, flower essence therapy, homeopathic remedies, exercise prescription, dietary planning, lifestyle advice as well as western herbs, traditional chinese herbs & ayurvedic herbal formulas depending on the client’s needs.

Sophia specialises in wellness programs & detoxification programmes (such as ReVitalise You & Core Yoga Two Week Detox) which incorporate Yoga & Pilates along with Nutritional & Naturopathic treatment plans, diet & lifestyle support and some fun thrown in for good measure!.  The 8-week & 12-week programmes are fantastic for those looking to commit to improving their health physically, mentally & emotionally from the inside out!

Aside from her clinical practice, Sophia instructs Yoga & Pilates, teaches at Endeavour College of Natural Health & feeds her love for travel by facilitating overseas Yoga Health Retreats.

Sophia is an accredited member of the Australian Natural Therapies Association & is a recognised health provider (Health Rebates available).

 

 

 

 

Soul to Soul Yoga Workshop

The day includes the following practices:

  • Pedi Cure – repair tired feet and restore the entire body
  • Lift 4 Your Legs – relieve aching legs and improve circulation
  • Body Bliss – reduce pain and improve flexibility in the spine, lower back and hips
  • Shoulder Shimmer – release tension and feel good in the chest, shoulders and arms
  • The Head Massage – unwind the mind, relieve head aches and improve brain function

You are also given “Breathing Space” and shown how to practice the following:

  • breathing…for digestion
  • to stay calm in challenging situations
  • to rest and sleep well
  • to develop compassion for yourself
  • to support others

About Andrea Graham

Andrea Graham is a physiotherapy graduate of the University of Queensland and has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for 6 years. Her Yoga training at Samadhi  Yoga in Sydney provides her with a well rounded teaching style and her certification with the Chopra Centre in California equips her with  the unique skills to teach The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga. This program is designed by the world leaders in mind body medicine Drs Deepak Chopra and David Simon.

Andrea is particularly interested in the blending of Eastern and Western techniques to aid health. She has a special skill in helping older people. She  believe an energetic and vital life can be maintained by all.
